Mariam Al Hasbani

Lecturer at the University of Balamand, Faculty of Arts and Sciences.

Mariam is an independent researcher and Sociology Lecturer at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, University of Balamand, Lebanon. She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Lebanese University, earned in 2019.

Throughout her career, she has worked as a consultant for national and international organizations. She has also led and collaborated on various research projects with interdisciplinary teams of researchers and completed research residencies at distinguished institutions, including the Center for Population and Development (CEPED) and Aix-Marseille University in France, as well as the Finnish Institute in the Middle East (FIME) in Lebanon.

Mariam has participated in numerous local, regional, and international conferences and seminars. Her research interests include, but are not limited to, the following areas: higher education, academic mobility, gender, and migration studies.
